CONCEPT
The concept of the show is based off of Newfoundland kitchen parties, a tradition where family and friends are invited to the heart of the home -- the kitchen -- and bring food, drink, instruments and bond through communal music-making and storytelling.

The show is set 10 years after the events of September 11th at the kitchen party reunion in Gander of the residents and Come From Aways who were involved in the original events of the show. A kitchen is a little too small so they have joined together in the town gymnasium for the biggest kitchen party one could imagine where they commemorate what was lost and celebrate what was found.

The hope is to ground the show in the Newfoundland culture, the people of Gander, and the community that was found during these trying times while still retaining the reverence for the event.
